AS of this date 28 March 2014 GVI GUI software will not work if you use IE10 or above.
If you have IE10 or IE11 you will get a 404 error (Page not found), you can press your F12 key and set the IE to run as IE10. And then the login menu will appear, entering the username and password will open the AR-6*** GUI software. But you will not be able to run the software with the tool open. There maybe a fix that can be done in the settings for IE10 and above to allow you to use it, however I have not checked to see if it can be done.
At this time May 31 2015 I have all the current Windows Updates available installed and the GUI software still works. I'm using Windows 7 Starter with IE9 on a HP mini netbook.

I will be checking on the status of this problem this month for current status of the crash problem. But it will take a long time to check each error one by one.
I was side tracked from the above problem, but working on current status of the problem. At this time the problem appears to be with IE 10 and above and not the other Windows updates.
