New page for info on the GV-RAZ owned Draft Mode
I have just received a GV-RAZ-2T and I'm test it out at this time. But I have been able to connect with the RAZ and view the files on the HDD and on the embedded Windows chip. To due the fact I have to be careful not to make errors myself on the unit. The info on the units may be delayed due to safe guarding the OEM settings. Plus I have a new GV-DVR016 that is taking priority at this time, to resolve others questions about it. But some videos of the GV-RAZ may come soon on the GVIDVR youtube channel on the unit, as I work on the GV-DVR016.
Note: The unit uses a USB keyboard and USB mouse for input.
If have have a boot-up problem with your GV-RAZ first check the boot up order. You should be booting up the NAN drive first not the HDD installed. The NAN drive has the embedded software for booting the system.
After booting from the NAN drive you should see the Windows type display on screen.
Warning: Do not delete, move or add files or reformat the NAN drive. As it's the on board motherboard chip HDD of the unit.
Unit has Windows embedded chip and uses client software AUTOIP but some say that a program BlueIris can be used. http://blueirissoftware.com/download/ mobile APP http://blueirissoftware.com/mobile/
Note: The unit I have had a power up issue, which I discovered that the cooling fan was plugged into the wrong place. After placing it onto the correct place it booted up saying no OS found. Going into setup via pressing the F2 key at bootup and changing the boot order to include the Embedded Windows chip. It booted using the embedded Windows chip,to the AUTOIP windows program where I could view the files on the chip and the HDD.
The password is admin for user admin and is case sensitive.
The Windows embedded OS uses IE7, unknown if it can be upgraded at this time. But the menu is very much like the standard Windows menus.
This is all the info I have at this time, but more will come after I copy the current info from both the chip and the HDD installed. I have also connected a GV-DVR016 to my GV-RAZ and it updated it's IP for connecting to the GV-RAZ. However no other testing what it will do has been done. A AR-6080 connected to my home router was discovered by the GV-RAZ using the AUTOIP program of the GV-RAZ. So I'm hoping that the GV_RAZ can be setup to record events only from my other GVI DVRs. Watch for more updates on what I have done via commends below, as this page is in draft mode at this time.
Power supply replacements for these units can be found at http://www.bgmicro.com/48v-2-08a-enclosed-power-supply-by-xp-power-2-5mm-right-angle-barrel-connector.aspx much lower than the original power supply from "XP POWER" unit AEB100PS48. Cost at time I purchased one was $11.95 +S&H $7.53 total cost $19.05 US much better than what others want for them. And BGMIRCO upgraded the shipping to Priority mail, so I received it 2 days.
Link to one supplier of original http://www.newark.com/xp-power/aeb100ps48/ac-dc-converter-external-plug/dp/11R6444 cost 88.00 US dollars others want even more.
From what I can tell the difference between GV-RAZ-1T and GV-RAZ-2T is that the 2T has a 2T HDD and the 1T has a 1T HDD.
The GV-RAZ-2T I own has a 2gig memory 200 pin removable chip, 2T HDD
Memory chip install is Crucial CT25664Ac667.M16FJ2
2GB 200-PIN DDR2 SODIMM 256Mx6
HDD WesternDigital WD20EVDS
Model WD20EVDS-63T3B0
Battery CR2025
CPU
Intel 1.6GHZ/512/533 SLB73
Network
Realtech
RTL8100CL
Motherboard allows one SATA HDD connection, but other one is printed on board without required chips. And one cooling fan is installed model DF12020BE using only the red and black wires, white not used.
