I have uploaded a video of firmware upgrade procedure via the GVI GUI software on the blog youtube channel. Even through the unit was already upgraded to the 1.00.72 firmware version, it still will run the upgrade program. So you can see it done this way. I will also redue the thumb drive video as well for better visability reason. But again the unit has been upgraded already, but you will be able to see the steps better.

correction GVI GV-DVR016

GVIDVR said...

No will not GV-DVR016 is a different system built after the selling of GVI operations, if I remember right from my research. I'll look back on my records, I may have the correct web page that has the info. If I have it I'll post a link to the web page.

For others GVI related units look at the side bar for info. I'll have some links that I came across for them, as I was researching these 3 units addressed here on the blog.

Ok, sorry for some reason your reply didn't show at first. wow so the 016 was made after GVI closed. I have searched high and low hoping i could find info, i have even contacted several App businesses and only one replied needing to know what the default port was for my unit, although i use port 6100, i can change port i believe to which i choose and port forward to open that particular one with my gateway. but they never responded after that saying what port their app used. Thanks for information and I'll keep searching. If you do find anything let me know.
Thanks again,

User manual states port forwarding of 80 Http and 554 RSTP. You can download a copy of the manual via Iexplore only, in PDF format.

Then save the file for later use.

Iphone app made by GVI Security is AutoIP http://ipfinvest.com/gvi/products/gv-autosw-mobile/index.html unknown if it's still available. The creator now has Ekeypad app for GVI units.

Playstore app "IP Cam Viewer Lite" suggest that it works with GVI units.

What are you having a problem with?

If you are having a problem with remote viewing be sure you are using IE8 or below. Not IE11, because it does not work! If you are having some other problem email me and I will help you out. GVIDVR@woh.rr.com
